A: We do accept children and will help you to determine if they’re ready to see us. If we determine your child needs a pediatric dentist or specialist, we’ll refer you to a trusted colleague.
A: We understand many patients feel nervous anticipating a procedure or even routine visit, and it is one of the most important issues we address. First; we’ll listen to you. We’ll help you determine the source of your fear and together, we’ll determine the best path toward helping you feel at ease.
We offer nitrous oxide sedation as well as oral medications that have proven successful providing relief for patients who’ve otherwise avoided treatment out of fear. Many of our patients over the years started out using every anti-anxiety technique we had to offer, but now receive dental treatment with no aid at all. We credit their comfort to the high level of professionalism and empathy expressed by each and every one of our staff members.
A: When you schedule a visit as a new patient in our practice, we go to great lengths to understand your needs and determine your expectations. We hope to make you a friend for life!
First, one of our coordinators will contact you prior to your visit to review your needs and offer information regarding what will happen during your visit with Dr. Meyers.
During the examination, we spend a great deal of time assessing your needs. We collect clinical data such as digital radiographs and photographs which enable you to review the tiniest details in your teeth and your smile. Then, we’ll examine your teeth and gums as well as the surrounding structures including your cheeks, jaws, face and neck for signs of potential problems.
Once we gather the information, Dr. Meyers’ develops a comprehensive treatment plan and sits down with you to review the details himself. Dr. Meyers uses a video patient education system which allows patients to view, on a computer screen, details about the very procedures recommended in the treatment plan.
At the end of your first visit, you’ll leave with a deeper understanding of your needs, and a clear expectation of how we’ll address those. We’ll also send you home with a digital copy of the entire treatment plan, including the same video presentations you watched in the office. We encourage you to review them later at home and even share them with your family and friends.
A: Dr. Meyers is committed to getting those patients with dental emergencies immediate treatment. We’ll get you into the office as soon as possible that day, so we can evaluate the problem and get the treatment started right away.
A: Dr. Meyers works with a team of dental and medical specialists who have very high levels of training in the specific areas our referred patients require. They are all local practitioners with whom Dr. Meyers has worked extensively during his 20-year tenure.
